UNDATED (AP) -- Connecticut has become just the second women's basketball team to complete two straight seasons as No. 1.

The unbeaten Huskies are the top choice in The Associated Press poll for a 43rd straight time after receiving all 40 first-place votes from the media panel in Monday's final poll. Louisiana Tech also pulled off the feat from 1980-82.

Only seven teams have run through the poll from start to finish at No. 1, including four times by UConn. Connecticut was followed in the poll by Stanford, Tennessee, Nebraska and Xavier.

The Huskies (33-0) have been a unanimous choice in the poll for 35 straight weeks. They will be the No. 1 overall seed when the NCAA tournament field is announced Monday night.
