| Chicago Cubs Send Relievers Berg, Maine to Minors |
(AP) -- Relievers Justin Berg and Scott Maine were optioned to the minor leagues as part of four moves the Chicago Cubs made to trim their roster to 36.
Berg, a right-hander, and Maine, a lefty, were optioned to Triple-A Iowa on Wednesday.
Right-handed reliever Angel Guzman and right-handed starter Todd Wellemeyer were sent to minor-league camp. Both were non-roster invitees.
Teams have to cut their rosters to 25 players by March 31, opening day.
