A note from Galesburg High School Athletic Director Ralph Henning says the boys and girls outdoor triangular track and field meet with ROWVA and Knoxville has been moved up to today at 4:30pm. The event was originally scheduled for Thursday, but the forecast for cold temperatures to arrive tomorrow caused organizers to hope for better conditions tomorrow.
A couple more postseason awards have come to several Galesburg Silver Streaks basketball players. The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association named Brandon Thompson as "3rd team all-state" for classes 3A and 4A. Teammate Chad Thompson received special mention. The Silver Streaks postseason banquet is set of this Sunday evening at John Thiel Gymnasium.
