| Nady Has Grand Slam in D-backs' Win Over Cubs |
MESA, Ariz. (AP) -- Xavier Nady hit a grand slam to highlight an eight-run fourth inning to lead a split squad of Arizona Diamondbacks to a 15-8 victory over the Chicago Cubs Tuesday night.
David Winfree hit two home runs for the Diamondbacks, and Kelly Johnson added his fourth of the spring.
Joe Saunders (1-3), Arizona's No. 3 starter, gave up eight runs and six hits in 3 2-3 innings. He also walked four and struck out two.
Cubs starter Matt Garza (1-4) gave up 11 hits and seven runs with seven strikeouts in three innings. His spring ERA rose to 10.38.
