CHICAGO (AP) -- The Blackhawks are heading for the White House.
President Barack Obama plans to honor the 2010 Stanley Cup champions during a White House ceremony Friday afternoon.
Members of the Blackhawks will attend along with chairman Rocky Wirtz, head coach Joel Quenneville and other team officials.
Later, first lady Michelle Obama will preside over a street hockey workout and clinic on a rink set up on the South Lawn of the White House.
The clinic for local young people will be conducted by members of the Blackhawks and Washington Capitals.
