CSC defeated John Wood 4-3
Lost to Iowa Central Comm College 10-3, play DH with them Friday
Monmouth College lost to Clermont 8-4 to finish their trip 3-4.

3A Sectional Final at Peoria
Rock Island vs Peoria Central
Championship games in boys basketball are set for Peoria and the Quad Cities tonight. In Peoria, Western Big-6 champion Rock Island will play Peoria Central. The Rocks whipped Morris by 41 points Wednesday, while Central upset previously undefeated Notre Dame. In Moline, the class 4A sectional title will be on the line when the Ironmen of Normal Community will play East St. Louis. Normal stopped Moline in Wednesday's semifinal game 60-40.
The small school basketball championships will be decided this weekend at the Peoria Civic Center.
College Basketball
Michael Thompson scored a tournament-record 35 points and Drew Crawford added 15 Thursday, leading Northwestern to a 75-65 victory over Minnesota in the first round of the Big Ten tournament. Northwestern lost to No. 1 Ohio State Thursday.
