HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL
The Galesburg Silver Streaks baseball team kicks off their 2012 campaign Saturday, with hopes of another 20-plus win season, with their annual Silver Streaks Invitational. The Streaks will play Rockford Guilford at 10:30am, and then Glenbard at 3:30pm. Other games include Normal West vs. Moline at 10:30am, Pekin vs. Normal West at 1pm, and Moline vs. Pekin at 3:30pm.
The GHS Sophomores will take on Moline at 3pm as part of the invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL TRACK
Galesburg High School's boys and girls track teams host the Silver Streaks Indoor Invitational at Monmouth College's Huff Athletic Center starting at 10am Saturday. United, Monmouth-Roseville, and West Central will be among the teams involved.
COLLEGE BASEBALL
Knox College lost both games of a double-header Thursday vs. the University of Dubuque in Florida, 16-3 and 9-4. The Prairie Fire are now 2-5 on the season, and take on SUNY (State University of New York) New Palts at 9am Saturday.
COLLEGE SOFTBALL
Carl Sandburg College took both games of a double-header Friday against South Suburban 18-8 and 10-1. Ellsworth will play CSC at home Saturday.
