Marian Catholic Wins 4A Title on Buzzer-Beater
NORMAL, Ill. (AP) -- Marian Catholic sophomore Kauai Bradley grabbed a miss from teammate Megan Walsh and put it back as time expired to give the Spartans a 48-47 victory against Rolling Meadows in Saturday's IHSA Class 4A girls basketball championship game.

The Spartans (33-1) had three chances at the winning shot after the Mustangs' Jenny Vliet gave Rolling Meadows the lead with a layup off an in-bounds play with 11 seconds to go.

Marian Catholic's Teniya Page left a potential game-winner short with 5 seconds left but Walsh grabbed the rebound before she, too, misfired.

Page led the Spartans with 13 points, Ashton Millender, who had 29 in Friday's semifinal, added 12 and Bradley finished with five points and 11 rebounds.

Alexis Glasgow led the Mustangs (30-3) with 24 points; Vliet added 12.
