Metamora took advantage of five Galesburg errors and beat the Silver Streaks (8-7) 5-3. Galesburg's sophomore team (13-2) defeated the Redbirds 5-4.

Hamilton-Warsaw beat North Fulton 18-3
Canton downed Lewistown 7-5
Annawan/Wethersfield beat Henry 14-10

High School Track and Field
Galesburg's boys team won the Silver Streaks A-B-C Invite by one point (304) against Western Big Six favorite United Township (303). Morton finished third (197) - followed by Geneseo (150), Limestone (124) and Canton (115).
Lewistown's boys team finished third, Farmington fifth, Knoxville eighth and Bushnell-Prairie City/Avon-West Prairie ninth in the 13-team Levingston Relays at Lewistown. Farmington was sixth, Lewistown seventh and Knoxville eighth in the girls meet.
ROWVA's boys team finished eighth at a 10-team invitation at Port Byron. ROWVA finished sixth in the girls meet at Port Byron.
Monmouth-Roseville's girls team finished second behind Rockridge at the Rockridge Lady Invitational
College Softball
Monmouth College swept Knox College in a Midwest Conference South Division doubleheader 2-0 and 10-1 |
