Cubs Beat Diamondbacks in Final Tune-Up
PHOENIX (AP) -- Randy Wells looks ready, to say the least, for his second major league season.

The Chicago right-hander threw four scoreless innings to improve to 4-0 in the spring, leading the Cubs to a 6-0 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday in the teams' final tune-up before the regular season.

Wells, 12-10 with a 3.05 ERA as a rookie, gave up three hits. A 38th-round pick in 2002, Wells worked in the minors for six seasons before his breakthrough last year. He is No. 3 in the Cubs' rotation and is scheduled to start Thursday at Atlanta.

Five relievers completed the shutout. Ex-Diamondback Chad Tracy, who made the Cubs as a non-roster invitee, singled in a run.

Chicago scored all of its runs off minor leaguer Barry Enright, borrowed by the Diamondbacks for the game.
