FRIDAY'S GAMES
Most of the high school sports schedule Friday was either cancelled or postponed due to rain. Saturday's schedule may end up the same way.
GHS baseball (12-7) double-header with Quincy postponed until Satuday at 9:30am. The Streaks look to extend a 5-game win streak.
GHS Sophomore baseball at Quincy Friday cancelled.
Monmouth-Roseville Baseball against Abingdon cancelled Friday.
GHS Softball against Canton cancelled.
Knoxville softball vs Havana postponed until May 7.
United softball versus Bushnell-Prairie City/Avon for Friday cancelled.
Monmouth-Roseville freshman softball against Brimfield cancelled.
GHS Boys Track against Metamora for Friday postponed until Monday.
GHS Girls Track @ Dunlap cancelled.
HIGH SCHOOL TRACK
Mercer County's boys placed second at the Rockridge Track & Field invitational Friday. Also on the boys side, Knoxville placed third, Monmouth-Roseville came in fourth, followed by Taylor Ridge Rockridge, United, Cambridge, ROWVA, Orion, and Stark County. On the girls side, Sherrard placed first, followed by Taylor Ridge Rockridge, Monmouth-Roseville, and United in the top four. Also, in order: Mercer County came in fifth, followed by Orion, AlWood, Knoxville, Stark County, and ROWVA.
HIGH SCHOOL BASS FISHING
Galva placed sixth at the IHSA Bass Fishing Sectional at Argyle Lake. Mercer County teams came in both 9th and 10th.
SATURDAY'S EVENTS
GHS Sophomore baseball against Mercer County cancelled.
GHS Varsity Softball at Quincy postponed until Monday.
Monmouth-Roseville varsity baseball versus Sherrard postponed until next Saturday, May 1, at Monmouth College starting at 9am.
Monmouth-Roseville J/V baseball at Sherrard postponed until May 3.
Monmouth-Roseville freshman softball at Bushnell-Prairie City/Avon cancelled.
Knoxville baseball versus B-PC/Avon postponed until Tuesday.
GHS Boys Tennis Invitational has been cancelled.
