|Bears Draft CB in Fifth Round
|LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) -- The Chicago Bears continue to try to bolster their defense on Saturday's final day of the draft by selecting their third straight player on that side of the ball, cornerback Joshua Moore from Kansas State, in the fifth round.
The 5-foot-11, 188-pound Moore left Kansas State after his junior season and six career interceptions. Moore, the 141st pick overall, alarmed scouts at the February NFL scouting combine by performing only two reps at 225 pounds in the bench press.
The Bears are seeking to improve a pass defense that sank to 27th overall last season. They had used their first pick of the draft -- a third-rounder -- on safety Major Wright from Florida.
Earlier Saturday, they chose Northwestern defensive end Corey Wootton in the fourth round.
