| Former Cardinals Exec Dies |
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Former St. Louis Cardinals president and chief executive officer Fred Kuhlmann has died.
The team announced Kuhlmann's death in a news release on Saturday. He was 93.
Kuhlmann worked for the Cardinals for more than a decade in several executive capacities, joining the organization in 1984 and experiencing World Series appearances in 1985 and 1987.
