High School Baseball
Galesburg made it three wins over Rock Island Alleman in less than a week with an 11-7 victory Monday on the Pioneers' home diamond. The Silver Streaks swept Alleman last weekend at home and with Monday's win improved their record to 8-6.
Galesburg's sophomore team beat Alleman 8-4 to improve to 11-2 on the season.
Abingdon scored seven runs in the fifth inning and beat Ridgewood 10-0
Rowva won its 10th game of the season by coming from behind to beat Kewanee 7-5
Illini Bluffs took out Galva-Williamsfield 12-2
North Fulton beat West Central 12-1
Farmington downed Mercer County 8-6
Camp Point Central/Southeastern defeated Lewistown 16-4
Limestone stopped Canton 9-4
High School Softball
Knoxville was swept by Brimfield-Elmwood. The Indians won the first game 7-2 and completed the sweep with a 5-1 win over the Blue Bullets in the finale.
Sherrard held Abingdon to five hits and beat the Commandos 4-0
North Fulton defeated Canton 5-4
Macomb downed Bushnell-Prairie City/Avon 8-5
West Central took down West Prairie 13-2
Havana's five run second inning put the Ducks over the top in a 6-2 win against South Fulton
High School Girls Soccer
Galesburg dropped its second straight match. The Silver Streaks lost at Washington 3-0. Kaitlyn Siebken made 10 saves in goal for GHS, which falls to 2-3 on the season. Washington won the junior varsity match 6-0. |
