| Cubs Win in 10th on Pinch-Hit Double by Colvin |
CHICAGO (AP) -- Pinch-hitter Tyler Colvin doubled home Geovany Soto with two outs in the 10th inning to lift the Chicago Cubs to a 1-0 win over the San Diego Padres Monday night.
Soto reached on a fielder's choice with two outs, then scored from first when Colvin lined a shot to right.
Carlos Marmol (1-1) struck out two in 1 1/3 scoreless innings to pick up the win for the Cubs.
Chad Qualls (0-1) allowed a run while getting two outs for San Diego.
