|AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) -- Luke Donald captured the family friendly par-3 contest at Augusta National, which is good news and not so good news for the young Englishman.
The winner of that event has never captured the year's first major. Four of the last five have missed the cut.
Three-time Masters winner Phil Mickelson enters his favorite tournament on a roll. The defending champion shot 16 under par over the weekend to win the Houston Open. Lefty can join Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Arnold Palmer as the only players with at least four green jackets and also can become just the fourth player to win the Masters in consecutive years.
Four time Masters winner and 14 time major champion Tiger Woods will be chasing his first title in more than a year. The former No. 1 has slipped to seventh in the world rankings.
Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus again will be honorary starters early this morning at Augusta National.
