McIlroy leads...Tiger Charging
AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) -- Rory McIlroy, the 21-year-old Northern Ireland whiz who has never won a major, has the 36-hole lead at the 77th Masters. Following Thursday's 65, McIlroy fashioned a 3-under 69 at Augusta National.

Jason Day signed for a scorching 8-under 64 and has pulled into second place with an 8-under total. He's one shot ahead of Tiger Woods and South Korea's K.J. Choi (choy) who signed for a 2-under 70.

Woods, the four-time Masters champion, roared into contention with a 6-under 66 that included six birdies during one torrid eight-hole stretch. Woods hasn't gone this low at the Masters since he shot 65 in the third round of the 2005 Masters, the last time he won the green jacket. Woods is going through the toughest part of his golf career, going 20 tournaments over 17 months without a win since a sex scandal wrecked his marriage and tarnished his image.
