CHICAGO (AP) -- Jabari Parker is the best high school basketball player in the country and the recruit every college coach wants to sign.
That means in this social media-driven world that the soft-spoken, devout Mormon has to deal with scrutiny beyond anything his star predecessors endured.
The 17-year-old Chicagoan last week won the Gatorade Basketball Player of the Year award and attends Simeon Career Academy, the alma mater of Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose.
Even Rose, who graduated just five years ago, says the pressure is greater these days on people like Parker than it used to be.
