Phoenix a Win Away from Clinching Over Chicago
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Resiliency has put the Phoenix Coyotes on the doorstep of winning their first playoff series in 25 years.

Despite missing numerous players, getting off to slow starts and giving up goals late in regulation, the Coyotes lead the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 in the first playoff series to open with four straight overtime games since 1951.

Phoenix gave up a goal in the closing minutes of regulation for the third time in the series Thursday night, only to win it on Mikkel Boedker's second straight overtime goal.

In their third season without an owner, the Coyotes can clinch their first playoff series victory since 1987, when they were still the Winnipeg Jets, on Saturday night at Jobing.com Arena.
