Lester Outpitches Peavy, Red Sox Beat White Sox
CHICAGO (AP) -- Jon Lester outdueled Jake Peavy on Saturday night, lifting the Boston Red Sox to 1-0 win over the Chicago White Sox for their sixth straight win.

Adrian Gonzalez had an RBI single in the fourth as Lester (1-2) picked up his first win of the season. Lester snapped a career-worst streak of losing five straight decisions and going eight starts without a win dating to Sept. 11 of last season.

Alfredo Aceves pitched the ninth for his fifth save in seven chances.

Peavy (3-1) failed in his bid to win a fourth straight start for the first time with the White Sox, but threw a complete game for a second consecutive start for the first time in his career.
