The Galesburg Silver Streaks are hoping to resume their baseball season this weekend, when they are scheduled to play a Western Big 6 Conference doubleheader at Rock Island. Galesburg pounded out 16 hits in an 11-5 win over Morton yesterday, but won't get their game in today at Peoria Richwoods due to rain.

The Knox Prairie Fire baseball team is also targeting the weekend for a return to action, as they have back to back matchups with rival Monmouth College. The two teams will meet Saturday at noon in Galesburg, and then again Sunday at noon in Monmouth. The Fire dropped a tough 3-2 decision to Augustana in 13 innings yesterday.
