HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL

Another pair of losses for the Galesburg Silver Streaks Softball Team. The Streaks lost a double-header to Western Big 6 Conference opponent Moline Saturday 12-3 and 9-2. Moline scored six runs in the 6th inning in game 1, and had a four-run second inning in game two, followed by a three-run sixth, en route to victory. The Streaks are now 4-8 overall and 1-3 in conference play. They'll try to get back into the win column Monday afternoon versus Geneseo at home. The Galesburg J/V squad also lost both games of a double-header to Moline 14-8, and 13-3.

HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL

The Silver Streaks Baseball team fared better against Moline Saturday than the Softball team did. The Streaks took both games of their double-header with Moline, 3-2 (8 innings) and 9-5. Galesburg scored the winning run in game one thanks to an error in the bottom of the 8th. Galesburg moves to 3-1 in Western Big 6 Conference play while Moline is winless.
