| MC's Lehr Named MWC Performer of Week |
Monmouth College's Gloria Lehr made it four-for-four last weekend and has been named the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week in women's field events.
Lehr had previously qualified provisionally for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the discus, hammer throw and shot put. At last Friday's Central Open, she added the javelin to her national qualification list. Lehr won the javelin with a personal-best and provisional-qualifying mark of 133'7". The throw ranks her second in the Midwest Conference. She also threw the shot put 43'3" to place second. Lehr topped her day off with fifth place finishes in the discus with a mark of 140'11" and the hammer throw with an effort of 145'7". She also made the provisional marks in the shot put and discus.
Lehr, a Knoxville native, is a senior math and physics major.
