| Flyers Recover from 3-0 Deficit to Stun Bruins |
BOSTON (AP) -- The Philadelphia Flyers are making history on their way to the Eastern Conference finals. Philadelphia is just the third NHL team to overcame a 3-0 series deficit to win a playoff series. To do so, the Flyers also erased an early three-goal Boston lead and now the Bruins are out of the Stanley Cup hunt. Simon Gagne scored on a power play with 7:08 left to cap a comeback from a three-goal deficit and give the Flyers a 4-3 victory and a berth in the Eastern Conference finals. The Flyers join the 1975 New York Islanders and 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs as the only teams to rally from a 3-0 series deficit and move on. The seventh-seeded Flyers start the next round at home Sunday night against another surprising conference finalist, the eighth-seeded Montreal Canadiens. The teams split four games this season.
