POSTED 12:00 a-m 5/22/10 Three Silver Streak baseball players, two members of the girls soccer team and one softball player are All-Western Big Six selections.
The league's coaches met Wednesday and made their all-conference and honorable mention picks.
Senior Nate Olin was named to the 2010 Baseball Western Big 6 All-Conference Team as an outfielder. The other two Silver Streak all-conference team members are junior Zach McCrery as an infielder and junior Nick Milligan as a designated hitter.
Kelsey McKillip earned 2010 Softball Western Big 6 Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition. She was the only GHS softball player to be named to the all-conference or honorable mention squad.
Galesburg's girls soccer team, which finished the regular season with a 6-8-2 record and is playing for a regional championship against Dunlap at 4:00 Saturday afternoon at home, placed one player on the all-conference team and one on the honorable mention squad.
Junior Tai Peachey was named all-conference and Ali Romano was named an honorable mention selection. |
