| Scots' Butler Named MWC Performer of the Week |
Monmouth College relief pitcher Megan Butler was dominant out of the bullpen last week and was named the Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week in softball.
Butler, a physical education major from London Mills, made the most of her opportunities in Sunday's 5-4, 10-8 sweep of Cornell. The sophomore came on in relief in both games and picked up win and a save.
In Game 1, Butler held the Rams in check over 2.2 innings, surrendering only an unearned run on five hits to pick up her third win of the season in relief. In the nightcap, she pitched two scoreless innings, allowing just two base runners and no runs in that stretch to pick up her second save.
In the Scots only action last week, Butler had a 0.00 ERA in 4.2 innings of work over the two games. |
