| Area Softball & Baseball Teams Gearing up for Regionals |
POSTED 11:18 a-m 5/6/10 The end of the regular season is near and the regionals get started in less than two weeks. Galesburg area softball and baseball teams are hoping to fine tune some things during the home stretch as they eye deep postseason runs.
Regionals step off for both softball and baseball on May 17th. The IHSA released the regional pairings in late April and here is how it all breaks down.
High School Softball

4:30 p.m. - #5 West Prairie at #4 West Central
4:30 p.m. - #6 Bushnell-Prairie City/Avon at #3 Knoxville
May 18:
4:00 p.m. - #1 United vs. Winner Game 1
6:30 p.m. - #2 Abingdon vs. Winner Game 2
May 22:
11:00 a.m. (Championship) - Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 4
Oneida (ROWVA) Regional
May 17:
4:30 p.m. - #5 Annawan-Wethersfield at #4 Galva
4:30 p.m. - #3 ROWVA vs. #6 Williamsfield
May 18:
4:30 p.m. - #1 Orion vs. Winner Game 1
May 19:

Princeville is the #3 seed in the Tremont Regional and will play May 19 at 4:30 p.m. against #2 Tremont
Stark County is the #1 seed in the Granville Putnam County Regional and will play May 18 at 4:30 p.m. against the winner of #4 Putnam County and #5 Lowpoint-Washburn (May 17 at 4:30 p.m.)
>The West Prairie, Oneida, Tremont and Granville Regional winners play in the Knoxville Sectional that begins May 26.
