| Nancy Kerrigan: Family Eager for Trial to End |
WOBURN, Mass. (AP) -- Olympic skater Nancy Kerrigan says she and her family are eager for her brother's manslaughter trial to end.
Kerrigan and her family have supported her brother, Mark Kerrigan, as he stands trial in the death of the skater's father, Daniel Kerrigan. Members of the family, including Nancy, have attended every day of his trial.
Testimony in the case wrapped up Friday. Nancy Kerrigan had a flat tire Wednesday on her way to the trial in Woburn. Then on Thursday, she had a minor accident after she left the courthouse.
When asked by a reporter about her thoughts on the end of the trial, Kerrigan said the driving to and from the courthouse doesn't bother her, but said, ``we'd like it all over.''
The jury is expected to begin deliberating Monday following closing arguments. (Copyright 2011 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
