Round 1 to Wade and the Heat Over Celtics
MIAMI (AP) -- Dwyane Wade scored 38 points, James Jones set a Miami postseason record with 25 points off the bench, and the Heat struck first in their Eastern Conference semifinal series by beating the Boston Celtics 99-90 on Sunday.

LeBron James finished with 22 points, six rebounds and five assists for Miami.

Ray Allen scored 25 for Boston, which lost for the first time in five games this postseason. Paul Pierce scored 19 points before being ejected in the fourth quarter after picking up two technical fouls in a 59-second span.

Game 2 of the best-of-seven is Tuesday in Miami.
