In the Streaks Classic today at the Galesburg High School, LaSalle-Peru defeated East Peoria 13-6, Dunlap defeated Peoria Notre Dame 8-4 and LaSalle-Peru also defeated Galesburg 10-6. John Hiester allowed six runs in the first inning and then shut Galesburg out for the rest of the game.
In the championship game of the Class 1A Regional in Annawan, Orion defeated Stark County 6-0.
In varsity softball, Galesburg was defeated in both of their games today. In game one, Metamora defeated Galesburg 4-1. In their second game, Sterling defeated Galesburg 8-1.
In JV softball, Galesburg won both of their games. GHS defeated Metamora 3-1 in the first game and 7-0 against Sterling in their second. |
