The Galesburg Silver Streaks baseball team will make up their doubleheader with United Township Tuesday afternoon at 4pm. The key Western Big 6 matchup was postponed on Saturday due to rain at Jim Sundburg Field. The Silver Streaks remain in the hunt for the conference title, depending on the results of Alleman's twinbill at Quincy Tuesday. Alleman leads Galesburg by one game in the league standings. The Streaks regularly scheduled game against Peoria Notre Dame Tuesday has been cancelled to make way for the conference doubleheader.

Elsewhere on the baseball schedule, Knoxville plays at the Prairieland Conference tournament Monday, and United travels to Annawan/Wethersfield. Monmouth-Roseville's scheduled game at Brimfield has been cancelled.

Softball

The Galesburg softball team will be very busy this week, beginning with a trip to Washington Monday for a game with the Panthers. The Silver Streaks will follow that with a doubleheader Tuesday at East Moline. In other softball games around the area, United hosts West Central Monday, and Galva/Williamsfield welcomes Stark County.

Track/Soccer

In track and field, the Western Big-6 Conference girls meet is being held in Galesburg Monday afternoon, while the Knoxville boys and girls are among the teams running in the Prairieland Conference meet in Rushville. The Lincoln Trail Conference also has its championships Monday, with ROWVA and United among the teams competing there. And Monmouth-Roseville girls and boys teams will run at the West Central Conference meet at Sherrard.

On the soccer field, the Galesburg girls are at home to Quincy. The varsity match begins at 6:30.

College Baseball

In college baseball, the Knox Prairie Fire will be preparing this week for the Midwest Conference Tournament to be held in Ripon, Wisconsin. The Fire finished the regular season Sunday with a school-record 21 wins, following a doubleheader sweep of Illinois College on Sunday. Knox is 21-9, and 13-3 in conference play, as they get set to play St. Norbert this Friday.
