Boys Track:

The Streaks Boys Track team enters sectional competition on Thursday at Macomb.

The Monmouth-Roseville boys track team won the Bushnell-Prairie City/Avon/West Prairie Spartans Boys Invite on Monday.

The Titans finished with 93 points, followed by ROWA with 77, and Macomb with 73. Ridgewood was fourth with 61 pts. North Fulton was 11th, Galva was 13th, and W. Central finished 15th.

Boys Baseball:

Area boys small-school baseball teams opened regional play yesterday with a full schedule of games. In Class 2A, Knoxvilles season ended as the Blue Bulletts lost to Kewanee 17-11. Knoxville ends its season with a record of 5-20.

In other baseball regionals:

Peoria Christian was upset by N. Fulton, 6-1.
Rushville-Industry over W. Central 3-2.
Monmouth Roseville beat Rockridge 3-2.
Midwest Central beat Havana 5-3.
Rushville-Industry 6, Biggsville-W. Central 0.
Princeville 10, Henry 5 (5 innings).
Hartsburg-Emden 16, Bushnell/Prairie City/Avon 1.
United 5, W. Prairie 3 (8 innings).

In regular season boys baseball, Stark County beat Abingdon 7-5.
Macomb over Lewistown 14-3 in 6 innings.
Washington beat Canton 5-1.

Girls Softball:

In girls softball regional action, it was Ridgewood over Bushnell, Prairie City, Avon 9-6. Annawan/Weathersfield beat Mercer County 2-0.

Taylor-Ridge Rockridge 12, Kewanee 2.
Macomb 12, Monmouth Roseville 2.
Knoxville 16, N. Fulton 12.
In regular season softball action, it was Canton over Pekin 7-2.
GHS girls softball team is off until Saturday when the girls will play Metamora and Sterling to complete their regular season.

Girls Soccer:

The number 2 seeded Galesburg girls soccer team begins regional play at the Class 2A Dunlap regional Wednesday evening at 6:30 as the Streaks mee the #3 seed, Orion Sherrard.

Galesburgs girls soccer team shut out Orion/Sherrard in the season opener, 2-0, on March 28th despite being outshot 9-3. Number one seeded Dunlap plays #4 Limestone at 4:30 Wednesday afternoon. The 2A regional championship game will be Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Dunlap. The Streak girls enter tournament play with a 5-8-3 record.

In other soccer regionals, at Metamora, Morton meets East Peoria Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., and Metamora plays Washington at 7:00 p.m. At Peoria Notre Dames 2A girls soccer regional, Notre Dame plays Manual at 5:00 p.m. on Wed., and Richwoods meets Peoria Central at 7:00 p.m.

In Class 3A, Moline plays Pekin at 6:30 tonight, and Normal Community and Bradley Bourbonnais tangle at 4:30.

Girls Track:

The Galesburg High School girls track team will be sending two relay teams and a sprinter to the state meet at Charleston next weekend. Delaney Duncan will be running in the 100 meter dash this Thursday after finishing first in last weeks Dunlap Class 2A Girls Track Sectional. Duncan is also on the two relay teams that advanced, the 4 by 400 and the 4 by 200 relay teams. Joining Duncan at the state finals will be Becca Ladner, Kailyn Boydstun, Aurora Roberson, and Markesha Harden.
