| Galesburg Post 285 Baseball Team Still Perfect |
The Galesburg American Legion Post 285 baseball team won two more games to remain undefeated on the young season.
Galesburg's doubleheader at home Sunday against Ottawa was rained out, but Abingdon's field was playable and the two teams played a twinbill - both games won by Galesburg.
Post 285 shut out Abingdon 10-0 in the first game. Tyler Farrell earned the win on the mound and Caleb Weaver led the offense with a grand slam.
Luke Ryan was sharp in the second game and Chad Johnson went deep as Galesburg completed the sweep with an 11-1 victory.
Post 285 is now 5-0 ahead of a doubleheader at home Monday against Pekin at 5:30. |
