| Peavy Won't Make Start for Sox |
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- White Sox right-hander Jake Peavy has shoulder soreness and will miss his scheduled start Thursday against Pittsburgh.
While an MRI test showed no damage, Peavy also may not start Friday night in Washington. Mark Buehrle (4-6) will move up in the rotation and start against the Pirates.
Peavy (5-5) informed the White Sox of the discomfort on Wednesday and the test was performed. Manager Ozzie Guillen said Peavy will be evaluated Thursday and possibly again on Friday to determine when he might pitch again.
