| Stall Tactics Allow Johnson to Win at Sonoma |
SONOMA, Calif. (AP) _ Jimmie Johnson might still be looking for his first Cup road course victory if Marcos Ambrose hadn't made a crucial error with a few laps remaining at Infineon Raceway on Sunday. Johnson ended a 10-week victory drought by taking the Toyota/Save-Mart 350, finishing just ahead of Robby Gordon. Johnson took over the lead when Ambrose stalled his car under a late caution, allowing six cars to pass him. Although Ambrose got his car restarted and moved back to the front of the field, NASCAR ordered him back to seventh for ``failing to maintain reasonable speed'' right before the restart. Series points leader Kevin Harvick took third. Defending race winner Kasey Kahne and Jeff Gordon rounded out the top five.
