| Galesburg Post 285 Goes 2-2 in Wilmette |
Galesburg Post 285 split its four games played at the Wilmette Waves Invitational over the weekend.
Galesburg won a 5-0 forfeit decision over Lake in the Hills in the opener on Friday. Post 285 played two games on Saturday, beginning the day with a 4-3 victory over Wilmette. Post 285 suffered its first loss of the season in Saturday's second game, 6-5 against Deerfield.
Galesburg lost 4-3 to Glenview in Sunday's Third Place game and finished the tournament with a 2-2 record. Post 285 is now 8-2 overall. The team is off Monday and returns to the diamond Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at Sundberg Field for a doubleheader against Monmouth. |
