|Texas, Oklahoma Ponder Future
|UNDATED (AP) --Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds says the Big 12 school is still "looking at all options" before deciding whether to stay in the crumbling Big 12 or move to another league. When asked about reports that Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott is going to visit Oklahoma and Texas this weekend to invite Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State to join his league, Dodds simply said, "could be."
The Texas and Texas Tech boards of regents have scheduled Tuesday meetings to discuss conference affiliation.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma President David Boren says he and athletic director Joe Castiglione met with Pac-10 officials Saturday, according to Boren's spokesman Jay Doyle. Boyle says Oklahoma regents will meet Wednesday to weigh possible conference options.
The Big 12's troubles started when Colorado accepted an invitation to move to the Pac-10 in 2012 and Nebraska decided yesterday to move to the Big Ten in 2011.
