Porter Signs 1 Year Contract Extension with Blues
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Forward Chris Porter and the St. Louis Blues have agreed to a one-year contract extension.

Porter was set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, but received a two-way deal Monday.

Porter appeared in 45 games for the Blues last season, recording three goals and four assists. He also dressed in 36 games for Peoria, the Blues' AHL affiliate, tallying 20 points on nine goals and 11 assists.

Porter was originally drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the ninth round (282nd overall) of the 2003 NHL entry draft. The Blues signed Porter as a free agent in 2007.
