| Surging White Sox Open Six Game Road Trip Against Minnesota |
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- A pair of right-handers get the call as the Chicago White Sox open a six-game road trip in Minnesota Tuesday night. Gavin Floyd is the scheduled starter for the Sox and Carl Pavano takes the hill for the Twins.
The American League Central rivals are both below .500 but they're surging. The Sox have won eight of their last 12 games while the last-place Twins have taken nine of 11.
Tuesday night's game is the opener of a three-game series. Then the Sox head west for an inter-league matchup against the Arizona Diamondbacks over the weekend before returning home next Monday to host the Cubs in the season's first series between the crosstown rivals.
