If the weather allows, the Galesburg Legion baseball team will host Peoria in a doubleheader beginning at 5pm Tuesday at Sundburg Field. Post 285 sports a record of 9-4, while Peoria has played fewer games, coming in with a mark of 3-3. Monday's game at Monmouth was cancelled due to a late afternoon rainstorm.
Several coaching changes were noted at Monday night's Galesburg School Board meeting. Ray Van Ottegem was hired to return as the boys head swimming coach, replacing Amanda White. Also, Mark Reed was hired as an assistant varsity football coach, while Tom Hawkins has resigned as assistant track coach at GHS. |
