An organizational meeting for the Galesburg Wrestling Foundation will be held Tuesday at 7pm in Lecture Room B at Galesburg High School. GHS wrestling coach Chris Carpenter and longtime Knox wrestling coach Tony Islas are spearheading an effort to raise the profile of the sport in Galesburg. Tuesday night's meeting is for anyone who is interested in helping the program develop. They will also be looking for people in the community who would be willing to sponsor wrestlers who would like to attend camp.
The Galesburg Legion baseball team is off again Tuesday, as they prepare for Wednesday evening's matchup with Moline. Gametime is 7:30 Wednesday at Sundburg Field, where military night will be observed. Post 285 sports a record of 20-6 as they head into the final two weeks of the regular season schedule. |
