Sharapova, Na Win
PARIS (AP) -- Maria Sharapova is back in the semifinals of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time in more than three years. The seventh-seed defeated Andrea Petkovic 6-0, 6-3 at the French Open. The last time she got into the final four at a Grand Slam event was in the 2008 Australian Open. Sharapova can complete a career Grand Slam with a title at Roland Garros.

Sharapova will next meet China's Li Na who knocked off fourth-seed Victoria Azarenka 7-5, 6-2.

Top-seed Rafael Nadal said he'd have to improve his game in order to ousted fifth-seed Robin Soderling. Soderling is the only one to beat Nadal in 43 matches on the red clay of Roland Garros. Nadal has won five of the last six French Open titles. Sodering has been the runner-up the past two years.

Fourth-seed Andy Murray will try to overcome an ankle injury when he takes on Juan Ignacio Chela in the quarterfinals. Murray was able to play through the injury to complete a two-day, five set win over Viktor Troiki Tuesday.
