| Baseball Season Ends for Streaks |
The season is over for the Galesburg Silver Streaks baseball team. The Streaks lost to the host LaSalle-Peru in the Class 3A Sectional Championship game 11-0 Saturday. Starting pitcher Carson Cheesman allowed 6 runs in 1-1/3 innings of work. The Streaks end the season with a 28-11 mark.
Meanwhile, local American Legion teams begin play Sunday, including Galesburg Post 285 and others. Post 285 hosts Geneseo in a double-header Sunday afternoon. |
