The Galesburg Post 285 American Legion baseball team finished pool play undefeated at the Decker Sports Classic baseball tournament in Omaha, Nebraska and are one of eight teams remaining in the 64 team field.
Coach Steve Cheesman's club beat Elkhorn, Nebraska 7-4 in their first game of the day Friday and then beat the defending tournament champions from Chico, California 7-5. They'll play Walden, Indiana @ 9:30 Saturday morning and then they'll play an as of yet undetermined opponent in the quarterfinals at 7:00pm. |
