The Carl Sandburg College volleyball team got stronger yesterday with the announcement that they had signed two local players. Katie McGee of Galesburg and Samantha Roth of Stark County have made commitments to attend Sandburg and play volleyball this fall. McGee was an honorable mention All-Western Big 6 Conference selection as a senior at GHS. She will also play softball for the Chargers in the spring. Katie Roth was a second team All-Lincoln Trail Conference performer last fall. Roth led her Stark County Rebels to a 21-9 record this past season, and led the team in blocks all four years that she played.
