The Galesburg Legion Post 285 baseball team has the day off, but several of the team's players will be in action at an all-star game this evening. Former Silver Streaks Carson Cheeseman, Drake Sykes, Ian Milligan, and Nathan Perez will be leading the South team in the West Central Illinois Baseball Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game to be played at Jim Sundburg Field in Galesburg. Knoxville's Derek Ratermann, Nolan Lewis and Jordan Perry will also be on the South team, that will face an opponent from the North made up largely of players from Mercer County, Rockridge, and Annawan/Wethersfield.

The Galesburg Legion will resume its schedule tomorrow night with 5:30 game at Oneida.

At Sundburg Field right now, an all-star game by the West Central Illinois Baseball Coaches Assoc.

YMCA

The swimming pool at the Knox County YMCA will continue to be closed this week for maintenance and repairs. "Y" officials say they are scheduled to reopen the pool one week from today.


Basketball Camp

Registration is now underway for the Monmouth College girls basketball camp to be held June 25th-27th. The camp is for girls age 8-14, and will be directed by Monmouth College head coach Melissa Biitner. The cost is $120 in advance of June 20th.
