| Former GHS Golf Star Leads Day 1 of All-City Tournament |
Former Galesburg High School golf star Jake Scott has the lead after one day of play in the annual Galesburg Men's All-City Golf Tournament.
Scott fired a 6-under-66 to take the lead Saturday following play at Soangetaha Country Club. Scott birdied five holes and eagled one en route making the top of the leaderboard. Rounding out the top five were Mack Foster, who was three shots off the pace, along with Jared Hallam, Kelby Rescinito, and Cory Scott. Defending champion Coby Thompson is at 2-over-74.
Dave Dunn is atop the leaderboard in the senior's division after firing an 80 Saturday. The tournament continues Sunday at Bunker Links. |
