| Quentin Hits Grand Slam and Solo Shot for Sox |
CHICAGO (AP) -- Carlos Quentin hit a grand slam and a solo homer, and the Chicago White Sox surged into first place in the American League Central with a 15-5 win over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday.
Andruw Jones hit his 400th career homer during a seven-run, four homer third inning for Chicago, which moved atop the division after trailing the Twins by 9 games on June 8.
During the seven-game homestand, Quentin was 7 for 13 with six home runs and 11 RBIs. Quentin, who had two home runs in the win on Saturday, had three multihomer games during the homestand.
