| Woods Expects Good Reception from British Fans |
ST. ANDREWS, Scotland (AP) -- Tiger Woods says he's always been treated well by the fans of Scotland and he expects nothing different this week as he plays in his first British Open since a sex scandal.
Woods has already played three practice rounds since arriving at St. Andrews with no problems. He said Tuesday "the Scottish fans have always been fantastic. They've been great to me over the years, and I wouldn't see anything different than what they've been over the years."
Woods is still seeking his first win since his reputation was tarnished by reports that he cheated on his wife with numerous women. He went into rehab and took a five-month break from the game before returning at the first major of the year, the Masters. (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
