| Knox Football Camp for Kids Next Week |
The Andy Gibbons/Junior Football League summer camp begins Tuesday, July 6 at Knox College in Galesburg.
The camp will feature two sessions each day, one for 1st through 3rd graders from 9:15 to 10:45, the other for 4th through 6th graders from 11:15 to 1:15.
Gibbons said he has about 70 campers registered, and hopes to have over 100 by the time camp starts Tuesday. He noted that they will even accept walk-up registrations.
"If they get there about 15 minutes early on Tuesday, the 6th, before each session, we can sign them up then as well," Gibbons told WGIL. "We've got more kids signed up today than we've ever had by far. So it's going to be a big camp and we're very excited about that."
The camp will be run as a cooperative effort by the Knox football staff and local JFL coaches. The four-day event concludes on Friday, July 9th. For questions or registration, call Andy Gibbons at Knox College at 341-7379. |
